 Buck
Rogers started out as a comic strip in
the newspaper and made it's transition to
radio in 1932. The show ran on the Mutual
network from 1932 to 1947 and had several
time slots and sponsors along the way.
Buck Rogers
was from our time but got trapped in an
abandoned mine. He was subjected to a
mysterious gas that held him in suspended
animation until he was discovered in the
25th century. He was brought back by Dr.
Huer and with the help of his heroic friends
including Wilma Deering and Black Barney, he
not only settled into a good life in the
25th century, he become a hero who fought
evil wherever it was.
